Trelay Land and Cattle Co. (TLC) is a concept that pays tribute to a family history, a love of land & cattle and the individuals in eight generations that adapted over and over to make it all happen.  We claim it all began in Cornwall, England when two families had a picnic on a beach. Four marriages resulted between the Rundell family and the Biddick family in the 1840s.  You can read the details on our "History" page.  

The "Land" part is in the rolling hills of SW Wisconsin.  A unique area of some 50 sq miles with productive, well-drained silt loam soils that hold moisture and receive a good share of heat units.  It has successfully grown seed crops for over 116 years and raised various livestock species during those years.

"Cattle" represents livestock, which has always been a valuable part of the "farm history".  Cattle added diversity, soil fertility, and a completeness using the roughages and feed the farm produced.  Cows and calves grazing on a hill-side pasture is one of those iconic rural sights.

The whole effort needs to be organized so it can continue.  Our "Company" is a C corporation.  It has it's own history of various names, brands, people and reputation-building events.  So we invite you to get to know our history and people, as we honor all those that added their hard work, special touch and never-ending dedication to Land & Cattle.​​​​​​​
